Get Your Grow On!

Spring is here and your garden is callling! But before you get those plants in, make sure you’ve prepared the soil for bountiful blooms and produce.
The Friends of the Grand Forks & District Public Library are delighted to be working with Frankia Fertilizers of Grand Forks (https://frankiafertilizers.com/) to offer organic fertilizers and amendments for your home garden. All products are offered at the same retail price you would pay ordering directly from Frankia Fertilizers, with profits generously donated to the Friends. Get your grow on, and support the library by ordering here:
CLOSING DATE for ordering: WEDNESDAY APRIL 24 at 11 a.m.
Pickup of all orders will be in the eastside lot behind the Grand Forks & District Public Library (facing Panago Pizza) on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Thanks for the support!

The Friends of the Grand Forks and District Public Library is a non profit organization of volunteers with its own constitution. In November of 1984 the Friends became a registered charity under the Society Act of British Columbia.

In cooperation with the Library Board and the Library Director, the Friends support the library through a variety of volunteer activities and fund raising. They promote the use of the library and focus the attention of the public on the library and its services.

The Friends of the Library receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests for the library. You can make a tax-deductible donation. We wish to acknowledge the donation from the Fritz family that has provided an endowment fund for the Friends to use in support of the Library.

Here’s an idea of what you could become involved with if you joined the Friends of the Library:

  • Participate in the annual Christmas Cookie Sale, Jewelry Sales, and other fundraisers
  • Share ideas and meet new people
  • Advocate for the library
